At the core of my being is a desire to inspire and give back. If you are reading this, you are one of the recipients of my efforts. My themes have been athletic/fitness, faith and overall social health. The one thing all those themes have in common is that they are mine. The only words you have read are mine, and the content came from my brain. Now, I’ll be adding podcasting to the mix!
That metric is about to change.
Beginning in October, I will be publishing video blogs of interviews with people who have both been impacted and made an impact on others with their efforts push themselves above threshold.
We all have unique thresholds. When we get close to our threshold, self-control and success seem both foreign and subjective, we take a defensive posture. We hesitate when we apply for the VP position at work; we hold off on hitting the registration button for our first marathon; we settle and exchange adventure for safety.
And, we take our Thresholds to the grave, unless someone or some event in time challenges our desire to exist in a safe and comfortable place. We die with cash in the bank and unfulfilled dreams in the closets of our hearts. Matthew 25 details how much God frowns on those who play it safe, yet we still do it.
Beginning this fall, my video podcast series will give others a chance to tell their stories. You will hear from nearly all walks of modern life. Athletes, businessmen, musicians, prayer warriors, mountain climbers, marketers and immigrants will get studio time and have a place to tell their stories. My role will be the help them get those stories out. You will resonate with some of their stories; others might offend you. Thank the Lord for free speech; intelligent and meaningful debate sometimes requires getting offended.
Throughout this series, I will also have some monologs where I detail many of my ideas. Since I have no boundaries between faith, logic and politics, nearly everything is fair game. Freedom of Speech is a global luxury not shared by all, and I will exercise it if it is available.
My studio accommodates up to 4 lines, meaning I can simultaneously do 3 live participants and bring one in on a phone call.
We will be painting it with a rich, dark color to accent the participants and make the most of the lighting that we purchased.
How can you be involved?
